Northern Exposure

Brand Identity
Packaging

Northern Exposure is a brewery based in Stockholm, Sweden, founded in 2013 by two New Zealanders. Previously known as Nordic Kiwi Brewers, they saw the need to reposition themselves in the Swedish market with a change of name and more relatable identity. The result centres on the themes of discovery, freethinking, and the outdoors.

Focusing much of their time on creating limited-run brews, they strive to make their audience feel like they’re discovering something new. At the centre of the Northern Exposure brand is their logo symbol, which represents their founders’ move to the Northern Hemisphere and their appreciation for nature.

After a couple of years with no core range – instead focusing only on their rotating 440ml beers – they launched a simplified series of cans: Sky, Land, and Sea. While their rotating range features a new location and lush, moody collages across each can, their new Core Range feels classic. The pared-back illustration is obviously linked to their pictorial logo, helping solidify their brand further.
